Two hours or more before grilling the meat, soak a tip of star anise, the crushed chili pepper, the pepper, the salt, and the thyme in the cup of water. Leave to infuse. When ready to start grilling the steaks, pour the liquid into a dish, soak the meat in the marinade for 1 minute, turning the steaks over. Drain slightly and place on a very hot grill. Cook according to taste, rare, medium or well done. When ready, place on a hot serving platter in which you have melted the butter. Turn the steaks over in the butter. Serve with sautÄed potatoes. You will be pleasantly surprised by the aroma given out by the grilling meat. You╒ll also enjoy the flavor. If using an infrared oven grill, set on highest heat (25 minutes) and choose thicker slices of meat.
